Most club video advice is written for professional environments or by the vendors themselves. This site is written for the person who has to carry the tripod, chase the subscription invoice through the committee, and explain to parents why last week's match did not record.
That perspective changes the rankings. A camera that produces marginally sharper footage but depends on a volunteer turning up loses to one that records automatically, because in a real club the second option produces more footage over a season.
Every system here has been assessed on match-day reliability first, then three-year cost, then coaching usefulness, then the staffing burden it places on the club.
How pricing is sourced
Prices are public list prices in USD, converted where necessary and reviewed each quarter. Several vendors quote per venue or per club, so figures shown are the typical single-camera club configuration rather than the cheapest possible contract.
Installation costs are excluded from the headline figures because they vary enormously by venue, and are flagged separately wherever a fixed system is recommended.
Independence
No vendor pays for placement, and rankings are not adjusted for commercial relationships. Where an affiliate arrangement exists it is disclosed on the relevant review page.
Corrections are welcome — if a spec or price is out of date, tell us and it gets fixed with the change noted.
Methodology
Rankings weight match-day reliability, total three-year cost, coaching usefulness and the staffing burden a club actually carries — in that order.
